Arrested Development vets to produce CoD Elite content

Former Arrested Development stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett have been commissioned by Activision and Infinity Ward to produce exclusive entertainment for the premium ‘check-me-out-I’m-totally-hardcore’ Call of Duty Elite online service.

Bateman (aka Michael Bluth,co-star ofThe Change-Up) and Arnett (aka George Oscar ‘Gob’ Bluth,leading man in the TV showRunning Wilde) will create original video content under the banner of their studio,DumbDumb Productions (opens in new tab).

“I consider myself a gamer,” said Arnett, who provided additional voice work for Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2. “When you look at the time spent gaming, versus other entertainment outlets whether it’s watching TV or watching movies; for me, I probably spend more time gaming. I want my video games to be entertaining. You realize that video games are a real outlet that needs to be taken seriously.”

Arnett, who also is reported to be good buddies with a number of Infinity Ward developers, will be previewing DumbDumb’s custom made Elite contentat this weekend’sCall of Duty XP festivalin Playa Vista, California. The event will feature a $1 million dollar Call of Duty tournament, an epic paintball match, sneak previews, and loads of gaming with proceeds going to theCall of Duty Endowment (opens in new tab)charity fund. Never-nudes arewelcome to attend, but encouraged to bring a change of cutoffs.
