Swedish horror game Year Walk has well-dressed horse-men and is coming to Wii U

Year Walk began life as an iOS mystery/horror game, telling the tale of a young man who tries to travel through time (or at least, see through it) in order to … well, to say much more would ruin the surprise. Developer Simogo has revealed (opens in new tab) that the game will have a new home soon: Nintendo’s Wii U.

The port will mark the first time Simogo has developed for consoles, and the studio is incorporating several features to make the experience unique. Players will be able to utilize the second screen of the Wii U GamePad for note-taking, research, reading the in-game encyclopedia and motion controls. If that last bit made you uneasy, don’t worry. You’ll still use analog sticks for movement – it’s only the game’s puzzles that require specialized motion control input.
