The Witcher 3s Heart of Stone DLC is out Oct 13, and youll need to be level 30

Update: The Witcher 3 (opens in new tab)’s Heart of Stone DLC will release on October 13. CD Projekt Red will even put out a special boxed version of the expansion that comes with a download code and two physical, playable Gwent decks: Monsters and Scoia’tael.

If you already bought the digital Expansion Pass but still want the Gwent decks, CDPR’s thought of that too. Just visit the special site (opens in new tab) with proof of your Expansion Pass purchase and you can get the cards separately.

Original story: As if there wasn’t enough for you to be getting on with, The Witcher 3 is getting its first proper story DLC next month and CDProjektRed community manager Marcin Momot has been revealing some details on Twitter (opens in new tab). Whether you have finished the main story or not, The Heart of Stone story DLC will need you to be at least level 30 to access it.

@savroRus You can play it after/during the main story. The HoS quests will be level 30+ though.September 7, 2015

Heart of Stone is the Witcher 3’s first paid DLC and after 16 free downloadable bits, it definitely feels like time to shell out if you want more. The expansion will be over ten hours in length and the devs confirmed at PAX last weekend that it was almost finished.

The Expansion Pass includes Heart Of Stone and next year’s Blood And Wine DLC for £19.99 but both will be available to buy individually. If you’re still on the fence – ouch – Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewucz said earlier this year that both expansions combined are almost as big as The Witcher 2 (opens in new tab). So yeah, Metal Gear…Mad Max.. sorry, we’ve got more Gwent to play.
