When the first Atomic Blonde trailer (opens in new tab) hit the web, I saw a lot of comparisons to James Bond. And that makes sense – our main character is a highly-talented spy on a dangerous mission – but the new trailer emphasizes the film’s John Wick DNA, courtesy of director David Leitch. Take a look:

I don’t know about you, but this movie was not on my radar at all until the first trailer – but even then, it looked a bit too dour and grumpy for my tastes. This new trailer turns the action up with some truly brilliant fight choreography and even a little bit of humor. I’ve gone from “What’s an Atomic Blonde” to “meh” to “I am so onboard.”

Directed by David Leitch and starring Charlize Theron, James McAvoy, Sofia Boutella, Toby Jones, and John Goodman, Atomic Blonde blasts into theaters on July 28, 2017.
