The Brick-Wizarding World of Lego Harry Potter will rise anew on PS4 on October 18 in North America and October 21 in Europe, like some kind of fiery bird. Something with an order named after it, maybe? Anyway, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment plans to release the Lego Harry Potter Collection on PS4, bundling together remastered versions of Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 on one disc.
I’m not sure what kind of visual remastering to expect for a world that’s supposed to look like it’s made out of little plastic pieces, but sharper face decals never hurt anybody. The Lego Harry Potter Collection will also include the original games’ Character Pack DLC and Spell Pack DLC, which add 10 new playable minifigs and 5 new spells respectively.
For Potter-heads who are keen on a brick-ified version of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (opens in new tab), there’s still no word of a full-on Lego game adaptation. However there are plans for several Lego Dimensions (opens in new tab) packs starring Newt Scamander and his occult creatures.
