Still waiting to link back up with Tidus and the gang on PS4? They’re almost ready. Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster (opens in new tab)’s PS4 release is set for release on May 12 in North America and May 15 in Europe, Square Enix has announced.
It’s largely the same package that released on PS3 and PS Vita in March 2014, complete with visually remastered takes on the influential PS2 RPG and its costume-swapping sequel, the short film Eternal Calm, the board-game-like Last Mission, and an audio drama epilogue.
Square Enix says the graphics have been further enhanced for PS4 and now you’ll be able to choose between the original or rearranged soundtrack for Final Fantasy 10. It will also be cross-save compatible with the PS3 and PS Vita versions.
Pre-ordering the game will net you a limited-edition copy, complete with region-specific bonuses: North American fans who buy early will get a free desktop calendar, while European fans will get a free SteelBook case. Both feature unique art based on the games by longtime Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano.
Sound like enough to book your second (or third or fourth or fifth or sixth…) return trip to Spira?
