I know you love Hideo Kojima. We all know you love Hideo Kojima. But do you love him and his games enough to spend $2,000 – not a typo, two thousand US dollars – on a Sideshow statue of his company’s mascot (opens in new tab)? A statue that is five freaking feet tall? A statue that looks like this?
Okay, it’s pretty damn cool looking, I’ll give you that. And considering its height, maybe you could tear it apart, add some points of articulation, and plop it in your passenger seat so you can use the carpool lane on the way to work. Or put it in your window to scare off would-be burglars. Look, I’m just trying to think of ways to make your insanely expensive purchase a little more practical.
Considering the pricetag, massive amount of space it occupies, and limited quantities (only 150 will be made), I can’t imagine many of you out there are planning to add this to your home.
