Destiny 2 beta reactions from the players: Great PvP, horrible cooldowns, and more

The Destiny 2 (opens in new tab) beta has been live for a day and reports from the first game’s biggest fans are pouring in from across the internet. Even though the fundamental game doesn’t seem wildly different from the original Destiny so far, there’s still quite a diversity of opinion – ranging from overall joy to being very worried about ability cooldowns. Homecoming is a nicely characterized (re)introduction to the world

Homecoming as a mission is denser in story and world than anything in Destiny 1, and I do say that with the utmost respect for Destiny 1.July 18, 2017

Destiny 2 isn’t hugely different to Destiny – but that’s the point. It’s a base framework to build on, using foundations of the original.July 19, 2017

And of course, some folks are just pleased overall

@Bungie i love the beta, it taught me one thing. I want more. Destiny 2 will be fantastic.July 19, 2017

The not so good

There are a lot of complaints about ability cooldowns.

Destiny 2 is Destiny just “Now With Story” and Better PvP. PvE suffers from PvPs balance though. Slow ability recharge in PvE is awful.July 19, 2017
